Motorola confirmed today at Mobile World Congress that its XOOM tablet will land in European markets starting in Q2 2011. The high-end tablet device will be available in both a 3G/WiFi version and a WiFi-only version. The XOOM is a premier Android tablet that features a 1GHz dual-core processor, a 10.1-inch widescreen HD display with 1280×800 resolution, HD video playback, HDMI out, a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera with 720P video capture, a 2-megapixel front-facing camera, and a variety of sensors including a gyroscope, barometer, e-compass, accelerometer and adaptive lighting.
The list of European carriers that will offer the Motorola XOOM is not yet available. Outside of Europe, the Motorola XOOM is expected to land on Verizon Wireless.
