Yamgo keeps adding new channels to its mobile TV network. Their latest addition is Nigeria-based HiTV, the world’s first 24/7 African based entertainment channel, featuring a variety of content ranging from movies, music, news, soaps, sports and entertainment.
The new channel will deliver the best of Nigerian broadcasting to almost all mobile phones and tablets, including iPhone, iPad, Android, Nokia and Blackberry, and will feature a schedule comprising of exclusive shows from some of Africa’s best writers, producers and programme makers. Moreover, users will have exclusive access to shows such as Heart of the Matter, Style Me, the DJ Abrantee Show, Koko Mansion and the Teju Babyface Show — which I assume are popular in Nigeria.
Commenting on the news, Yamgo’s CEO and Founder Ian Mullins said: “Nowhere else on mobile will African and non-African viewers find the breadth and quality of content that HiTV offers, which is a testament to Yamgo’s continuing commitment to offer the most attractive choice of programming to mobile audiences. This latest addition to the Yamgo network represents a premiere in mobile TV with HiTV being the first and only African based channel available globally on the mobile platform.”
