Amazon.com has launched a new wish list creation app for kids – Amazon Santa that works on the Kindle Fire and Apple iPad. Designed to make this process fun and easy, the new application provides a visual Wish List creation experience designed for children to browse and search more than 500,000 kid-friendly items, including toys and games, movies and TV shows, books, music and video games.
Parents on their end can review and edit the Wish List as needed, and share each child’s list with grandparents, aunts and uncles, brothers and sisters, and family friends. The list shows recipients wished-for items, including those that have already been purchased, helping to eliminate duplicate gifts…
Our take – we love Amazon for making shopping so seamless, even for children. One thing I don’t get though – why Amazon Santa isn’t available in the “regular” Android Market? Don’t they want to reach as many shoppers as possible? For now, if you want Amazon’s latest app, you’ll have to go through their Appstore… or iTunes if you own the iPad. Both links are available from Amazon Santa’s dedicated page.
