While we tend to focus on tablets and smartphones here at IntoMobile, the orignal form of mobile computing – laptops – are getting a real boost with the ultrabook form factor. We’re here live at a Dell and Intel event to show off the new Dell XPS 13 ultrabook, so let’s follow along for the kick off event.
For those of you who don’t know, the Dell XPS ultrabook is a 13-inch laptop that’s packed with a lot of power in the super sleek form factor. When you see one in real life, it’s hard to not compare it to a MacBook Air but the Dell ultrabook can stand out on its own. The bezel-to-bezel display with Gorilla Glass and double-cut aluminum body makes this laptop an early contender for the best-looking laptop of the year.
It’s not just beauty though, as the Dell XPS packs an Intel Core i 2nd Generation processor, 4GB RAM and SSD hard drives in 128 GB or 255 GB. We’re at the Carte Blanche art gallery in San Francisco and we’re hoping to see how these mobile computers can be used in the wild for getting work done in a variety of fields.
The Dell XPS 13 starts at $999 and will be available in February. We’ll be updating the live blog continuously throughout the day, so let us know what you want to hear.
