Nothing drives app downloads like deals with handset makers and mobile operators. It’s not like Shazam isn’t already famous enough, it’s just that they want even more users. And they managed to get one more big partner on board – T-Mobile USA, which is featuring the popular music/video discover app in the Music Hub section of its T-Mobile Mall. The version Magenta customers can download is free, and comes with unlimited tagging and LyricPlay streaming lyrics.
Shazam, if you recall, has been expanding beyond music in the last couple of years, with folks using it to connect to popular Shazam-enabled TV shows to access exclusive content and special offers.
