Huawei announced that its sexy-looking Ascend P1 smartphone will be available in Hong Kong, Taiwan and Australia through operators and retailers by May 2012, in Latin America from June 2012 and in Europe from summer, with other markets to follow.
If you recall from our previous writing on the subject, the Ascend P1 is available in two flavors with one of them (P1 S) being the world’s thinnest smartphone with dual-core processor. That CPU, in case you wonder, is TI’s OMAP 4460 clocking at 1.5GHz.
Aside from that, the Android smartphone also comes with a 4.3-inch qHD AMOLED touchscreen, 8-megapixel rear-facing camera, front-facing one (for video calls), Dolby Mobile 3.0 with 5.1 surround sound technology, HSPA and Wi-Fi connectivity, GPS, Bluetooth, and of course a microSD memory card slot.
