Motorola officially announced the RAZR MAXX in the UK. As you probably know, it’s a slightly thicker version of the RAZR smartphone that comes with a larger battery, providing up to 17.61 hours of talk time. Rest of the specs are unchanged and include a 4.3-inch Gorilla Glass-protected qHD touchscreen, 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, HSPA and Wi-Fi connectivity, dual cameras, GPS, and a microSD memory card slot.
Motorola failed to mention the price of the phone, but it did say it will be available from major phone retailers like Clove, Expansys and Amazon.co.uk, with an expected delivery date of mid-May.
Our take: We love both the RAZR and RAZR MAXX but unfortunately they are last-year devices and as such neither of them comes with a 720p HD screens, which is emerging as a standard for high-end Android smartphones. I would suggest going for the HTC One X instead, or waiting for Samsung’s next Galaxy smartphone…
