Well, what do you know? Apple just updated its troubled Podcast app after being out for only a month or so. This app has been much maligned ever since it first hit the App Store. Users hated many things about it, such as its half-assed designed interface and spotty performance due to so many bugs.
However, Apple seems to have learned from its mistakes and has improved the apps’ performance and stability. The mega tech company also tweaked some more specific sections in the app. Notable additions include custom playback speeds when moving on to new episodes and the ability to use a badge in the podcast library showing the number of unplayed episodes. I know, simple, but very necessary.
Lastly, the update fixes a problem found with the subscribe button being inactive, which is something that’s plagued many users. It’s good to know that Apple can still hear your groans from that high perch on top of the mountain it sits on. Lets just hope future updates address its bland looking user interface.
