Charitybuzz is “offering” coffee with Apple CEO Tim Cook at Apple’s headquarters in an auction that will end-up raising more half a million dollars for charity. As I’m writing this, there are 86 bids with the leading bid checking in at a whopping $605,000. The record-breaking figure is even more impressive when compared to other Charitybuzz gigs:
- The current high bid for lunch with Francis Ford Coppola in Napa Valley is $4,500
- An opportunity to meet with Robert DeNiro is going for $2,250
- A private tennis lesson with Rafael Nadal is going for $31,000
- The opportunity to shadow Bill Clinton for a day went for $255,000 – that was the previous Charitybuzz record.
We can’t help but imaging the figure would be even higher if Steve Jobs was alive and running Apple.
And in case you wonder, the proceeds of the auction will be going to the RFK Center for Justice & Human Rights. The auction closes on May 14th so there’s still room to break the 1 million dollars barrier. Care to donate your life savings to meet Apple CEO (and help the good cause)?
