Three UK removes roaming chargers for its customers travelling to the USA, Indonesia, Sri Lanka and Macau

Three UK is one of the most innovative carriers in the world. It’s an underdog in British mobile market, competing with giants like O2 (Telefonica), Vodafone, Orange and T-Mobile (and their joint venture – EE).

The operator has been offering “Feel At Home” service for quite some time, allowing its customers to pretty much forget about roaming when travelling to select destinations around the world. That program is now extended to include 4 new markets – Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Macau and USA. Yup, this means that British mobile users relying on Three’s service will be able to use their existing minutes, texts and data allowance while travelling across the Pond. Pretty cool, and something that will definitely help Three get even more clients.

The “Feel At Home” service now operates in total of 11 destinations around the globe and we guess some other countries will be added in the future.

Three increased its total active customers to 7.8 million, almost 300,000 of which were added in Q3, representing a 9.7% increase since Q3 2012.
