Fire-Boltt made its name selling smartwatches. Now it wants a piece of your main screen. The company has revealed the designs of its first two smartphones, the Boltt Ace and Boltt Evo, ahead of their August 25 launch on Flipkart. Both phones will land somewhere between Rs 10,000 and Rs 20,000, which is one of the most competitive price brackets in Indian retail right now.
So what do they actually look like? The Ace goes bold, with a large rectangular camera housing and four circular cutouts for the cameras and flash. It has a flat-edged frame, symmetrical bezels up top and on the sides, and will come in five to six colors. The Wine Red colorway is already confirmed. The Evo is a bit more restrained, with a squarish camera module and two protruding lenses. Its headline color is Arctic White. Both phones measure 7.95mm thick, which Boltt claims beats most rivals at this price.
Here’s the thing though. This segment already has solid options. The Lava Virat V1, Ai+ Nova 2, and HMD Vibe 2 all offer clean Android and 5G for under Rs 20,000. Boltt needs more than a pretty frame to stand out. Specs are still under wraps, and that’s where the real story will be told.
- Flat-edged frame on both models
- 7.95mm thickness across the range
- Five to six color options per phone
- Wine Red (Ace) and Arctic White (Evo) confirmed
- Exclusive online sales through Flipkart
Fire-Boltt has real distribution muscle from its wearables business. If the specs hold up on August 25, this could actually be worth a look.
