Xiaomi may soon launch its first tablet and we caught few details worth sharing. It is said that the upcoming Xiaomi MiPad will get its power from MediaTek’s MT8125 quad-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz. Moreover, it may be available in two versions, one of which will have built-in 3G connectivity.
As for the screen size, we’re hearing it will have a 7-inch display rendering Xiaomi’s own MIUI V5 (which runs on top of Android OS).
Finally, the launch date – the Xiaomi MiPad will be unveiled on August 15th, costing just 999 Yuan, the amount that translates into roughly $160.
Like that’s usually the case with Xiaomi’s devices, we doubt this unit will be widely available in the West. In order to get one of these, you’ll have to buy it from one of the growing number of Chinese exporters…
