The TCL P80 Pro is expected to land at €350 ($404), sitting just a step above the standard P80. Visually, the two phones look nearly identical. But the Pro gets one notable extra: a physical slider on the right side of the frame. That slider is believed to either toggle the phone’s NxtPaper display mode or silence notifications. TCL’s NxtPaper tech is worth paying attention to here. It’s designed to reduce eye strain by mimicking the look of paper while still delivering a full color display experience. TCL has been quietly building out the NxtPaper lineup for a few years now, positioning it as a healthier screen alternative in a market absolutely dominated by OLED. Most brands have gone all-in on OLED at every price tier, so TCL leaning into its own display identity is a smart move.
