We got our hands on a few new Kyocera handsets today at CTIA 2013 in Las Vegas, one of them being the ruggedized and waterproof Kyocera Hydro Edge. It’s predecessor, the Kyocera Hydro was announced last year at CTIA 2012 in New Orleans. Consumer Reports took a look at the latest smartphones on the market and selected the Galaxy S4 from Samsung as its number one phone. it replaces the LG Optimus G, which occupied the top spot for a few months earlier this year. Samsung’s Galaxy Mega 6.3 is coming to the U.K. sometime this July, according to a blog post from U.K. retailer Clove. The 6.3-inch phablet device will be available for a price of £459.99 including VAT, or £383.33 excluding VAT. U.K. customers can now pre-order the device by heading to Clove’s website. Rumor: Sprint To Offer LG Optimus F3 In A Few Weeks?
Thanks to a leaked photo from @evleaks, it now looks as if LG will be bringing its Optimus F3 to Sprint’s network in the coming weeks. Looks like the water- and dust-proof version of the Galaxy S4 won’t have the same guts as the original Galaxy S4. According to the GFX Benchmark site, the upcoming Galaxy S4 Active won’t use either the Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 nor Samsung Exynos 5 Octa; rather the Korean giant will opt for Qualcomm’s slower Snapdragon S4 Plus SoC.
